Welcome to Off the Jump: Why Sports Matter – a journey in which four journalism students (Isabella Monaco, Daniella Lopez, Ilyas Hussein, and Bana Yirgalem) explore the question of ‘why sports matter.’ In this video series, we discuss the impact of sports beyond the playing field. Each episode delves into the power and passion sports inspire in each of our special guests, and how they have each built different careers surrounding their love of sport. We also challenged our guests’ sports knowledge through a series of games. Get ready to be inspired, uplifted, and reminded of the impactful role that sports play in shaping the human experience.
