The Overlooked Minds

Women with ADHD are often left out of the conversation. Even as public awareness of ADHD grows, the unique ways it shows up in women are still misunderstood, dismissed, or completely ignored. Many go undiagnosed until adulthood, spending years mislabelled as lazy, anxious, or unstable. This project examines how societal expectations, medical bias, and cultural inequities contribute to these delays, and the damage it can cause.

Through interactive storytelling, expert insights, and firsthand accounts, my website uncovers the overlooked experiences of women navigating ADHD later in life. It also explores the rise of social media as a tool for symptom recognition, the emotional toll of delayed diagnoses, and how systems continue to fail women in getting the care they need.
